Their Dumplings are very fresh.there were the carts so you could get certain items right away.Lobster dumpling, Scallop Dumpling, Spinach and Chicken Dumpling, Mushroom and Chicken Dumpling.we had em all.Barbequed Pork Bao.aww MAN!! The Wonton Soup is AMAZING! the Singapore Noodles are spot on.no complaints here.there is a bar area with TV and the Games on all the time. The Service is Outstanding.(Ask for Kevin) he was our server both times.fast and knowledgeable on the types of Dumplings.Fast and efficient! There is also an Extensive Chinese menu as well.will give that a try soon. We ordered a bottle of wine to start and got down to business with the Dim Sum. there will be no more of that.Plus, their Dim Sum Menu goes all day, all night! We used to pass this place all the time and say - naaaah NO WAY they can be better than Chinatown.until we happened in two Sundays ago.Been back three times since. We were greeted by a very energetic and Sweet lady named Rose.(Yup, the Owner) and seated immediately. Well, now that we have found this little Gem. Shanghai Rose is AWESOME! My wife and I would usually have to go to Downtown LA or Alahambra which are both close to an hour in traffic from the Valley to get our Dim Sum fill. I usually think that mu shu chicken is pretty reliable, given that there's not much you can do to wreck it, right? First, as regards the chicken, the dish should be called mu shu mushroom, because that's about all that I could find. I have no clue what they cooked it in, or what they coated it with, but it was awful. The Kung Pao chicken was spicy enough, but it was literally slimy. I managed to eat a couple of the greasy potstickers. Other than that, what really bad food! I took one bite of the chicken potstickers and just tossed the whole container. as the 2015 visit, except this time, I got the food to go, so that, when I bit into the vegetable spring role and the grease burst forth, it wasn't as piping hot as it was back then, so this time I didn't burn my mouth. I had virtually the exact same experience. In my 2015 review, I said I would never return. Since it's still there, I have to assume that people like it. I first visited this local restaurant almost five years ago.
